Blue Iris: The Color for 2008

As marketers, we know that the colors we choose to represent us, help individuals identify us. Many companies, like Coca-Cola go so far as to trademark their color. Some companies are identifiable by color alone.

I recently had a case of mistaken identity in the airport. I was watching a commercial, but heard no sound. Based on color, I was certain it was a commercial for Tiffany & Co. but wasn’t sure how or when it would payoff. See if you have the same experience by watching the Commercial. Did you think it was an Ad for Tiffany?

It’s mid-December 2008 and the American commercial engine keeps humming along…despite housing jitters and the economists anxiously eyeing next year’s forecast. Are you recession-proof? You are if your customers need you to keep doing the business they do.

Make sure as you polish off that ’08 budget that you’ve built a place in it for the customer. When you celebrate the holidays this year, be thankful for your place in our eco-system. To quote a quoter, Warren Buffett said: “Why not invest your assets in the companies you really like? As Mae West said, ‘Too much of a good thing can be wonderful’.”

Here’s hoping, in 2008, that your company is one that people really like–and can’t get enough of.
